Faces of Lung Cancer

In Memory of Brenda Chapman

Brenda Chapman

Brenda Chapman was my aunt, she passed away April 22, 2003 of lung cancer.

Brenda was the bravest person I have ever known.Over three years ago the doctor "gave" her six months to live. Goes to show you how far faith can take you.

Although she never questioned God , I can't say we, the family didn't. Maybe we didn't question Him as much as we did her -- we all wondered why she continued with chemo and radiation when it wasn't really helping her. It was hard to understand her reason at the time but now we see why. She had extra time with people who loved her, and she got to watch her two grandchildren grow, and that was her life -- the extra time with them brought MANY more smiles to her face and many more memories to their lives.

Her daughter is just as strong as she is. She was there each step of the way and never let it get her down. To me they're both Heroes. So this isn't just dedicated to her, but also to her daughter Jane Ann, and to all people who just need a little faith!
