Faces of Lung Cancer

In Memory of Charles Caparelli

This is in memory of my fiancé Charles Caparelli, who passed away on December 5, 2003.

Charlie fought the fight for 21 months after being diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer that had metastasized to the brain. He was 51 years old and kept an upbeat attitude throughout all his treatments and his brain surgery. He was so brave. He left the hospital the day after the brain surgery. He fought with courage and dignity. At the end he was not afraid to die. He waited for me to come home from work and slipped away peacefully. He is forever in my heart. God bless him and those who are fighting the fight.
