Faces of Lung Cancer

In Memory of Jo Ann Dealing

Jo Ann Dealing with granddaughter Josie

Jo Ann Dealing, passed away on July 9, 2004.

A loving mother and grandmother, Mom was the strongest, most positive and spiritual person I have ever known.  She saw the positive in every situation and that outlook continued as she faced her diagnosis in May 2004.  She made it through a month of radiation therapy with her sense of humor and strength still intact and was ready for whatever treatments awaited her down the road.  I can't recall one single time when we spoke of lung cancer that she let it get her down.

Mom lost Dad to a brain aneuryism in 1983 and her 40 year old son to a car accident in 1999.  When others asked how she was able to remain so strong throughout it all, she stated, "Through faith in God." I'm thankful to have had such a wonderful mom and friend.  We all love you and miss you very much.
