She quickly advanced to Executive Vice President, Creative Director, and a member of DDBs New York Board of Directors. From 1977 until 1966, Diane was also he most award-winning copy writer at DDB - the most award-winning agency in the world. In 1986 she left DDB with advertising legend, Roy Grace. In 2000 Diane merged G&R with Della Femina Jeary & Partners where she became Vice Chairman of the new Della Femina Rothschild Jeary & Partners.
Laurie Fenton, President of the Lung Cancer Alliance said that Diane had come with a whole campaign laid out. We were bowled over by her hard-hitting, edgy ads, and powerful new slogan: No more excuses; no more lung cancer, The LCA began running Dianes ads in May of this year in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post, as well as in specialized DC media targeted at Congress and the health policy establishment.
The ads have been extremely effective in changing the face of lung cancer, and putting health policy makers on notice that the under-funding of lung cancer research and early detection will not be tolerated any more, Laurie said.
Diane not only did all the creative work, her agency did all the production, and her husband Alan Pando, former President of DDB West, did all of the media placement. According to Laurie, Even in this short time, they have already made a difference. Laurie also expressed her gratitude for the unflagging commitment and invaluable guidance of Michael Jeary, President of DFRJP.
